CRB appealed all Railwaymen to generously contribute towards Prime Minister National Relief Fund – Kerala floods.
Chairman Railway Board Shri Ashwani Lohani vide DO No.2018/PMNRF/1, dated 21.08.2018 has appealed all the Railwaymen across the country to voluntarily contribute one day’s wages towards Prime Minister National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for help towards State of Kerala flood victims.
The contribution equal to one day’s wages (basic pay only) will be deducted from the regular salary of all the Railwaymen, except from those who specifically summit declaration of ‘non- deduction’ or ‘deduction for less than one days wages’.
The Contribution so made towards PMNRF are notified for 100% deduction from the taxable income under Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act 1961.
The CRB has also appealed for wide publicity of the appeal/masses amongst all the Railway servants working across the country.

Earlier vide letter No.2013/E(LL)/PW/2, dated 17.08.2018 Railway Board issued instructions for advance disbursement of Salary on account of Onam festival to the Railway employees working in Southern Railway (within the State of Kerala), subject to the instructions contained in Board’s letter No.E(LL)92 AT/PW/1, dated 16.10.1992 (RBE No.173/1992) are scrupulously followed.
