Pass: RBE No.02/1989 – Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986

Sub:   Amendment in Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986.

1. On a reference made by Southern Railway, Ministry of Railways have decided that para (xi) of Schedule VI of Rule 10(2) of  the above rules may be amended and substituted by the following para:

Second Class Passes and PTOs for self only are given to them on a scale prescribed for serving employees in the post or grade to which they may be appointed on completion of their apprenticeship.	“Apprentices and Trainees in Group ‘C’ post/ grade may be given the class of pass (for self only) on the basis  of minimum of pay of the post or grade to which they are to be appointed on completion of their apprenticeship, in accordance with the pay limits prescribed from time”.

2. The amendment to the above Rules is being incorporated in the revised edition of the Pass Rules being brought out separately.

3. This has the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
