RBE No. 174/2008: Washing Allowance

Sub: Grant of Washing Allowance to all the Dressers/ Operation Theatre Assistants.

In terms of Board’s order No.F(E)I/2001/AL-29/2, dated 05/12.05.2003 (RBE No. 76/2003), Washing Allowance to Dressers and Operation Theatre Assistants was discontinued w.e.f. 01.05.2003, since after  the implementation of 5^th CPC, Dressers and Operation Theatre Assistants who were in the scales of Gr. ‘D’ i.e. 2610-3540, 2650-4000 and 2750-4400 were upgraded and merged in the scale of Rs.3050-4590, thereby placing them in Gr. ‘C’.

After careful consideration of the demand from AIRF, it has been decided to grant Washing Allowance @ Rs.60 per month to all the Dressers/ Operation Theatre Assistants who are given uniform, with effect from the date of issue of this order.

The rate of this allowance would be increased by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance payable on the revised pay scales goes up by 50%.
