Sub: Enhancement in the quantum of Natural Calamity Advance – consequent on recommendation of the 6^th Pay Commission.

Consequent on the recommendation of the 6^th Pay Commission, the Ministry of Railways have, with the approval of the President, decided to enhance, with immediate effect, the quantum of natural calamity advance admissible to non-gazetted Railway Servants under the provisions of Para 1123(A) of IREM Vol.I from Rs.2500 (Rs. Two thousand five hundred only) to Rs.5000 (Rs. five thousand only) irrespective of their pay. Other conditions for sanctioning of the advance contained in Para 1123(A) of IREM as modified/ clarified from time to time will remain the same.

The rates of this advance shall be increased by 25% every time dearness allowance on revised pay bands increased by 50%.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
