RBE No. 22/2017: Retention of Railway accommodation

Sub: Extension of the period of retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/ staff posted to EC Railway.
Ref: Board’s letter No.E(G)2009 QR1-2, dated 05.04.2016 (RBE No.29/2016)

1. The issue of permitting the Railway Officers staff posted on EC Railway to retain railway quarters at their previous place of posting beyond 31.12.2016 has been considered by the Board.
2. In exercise of its power to make a reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/ group of employees, in all and any of the existing provisions regarding house allotment/ retention, the Board have decided that permission for retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/ staff posted to EC Railway be further extended for 1 (one year) i.e. upto 31.12.2017.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the finance directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
