Sub: Calculation of vacancies for ‘Non-selection’ posts.

1. In terms of instructions contained in Board’s letter No.E(NG)I/76/PM1/21, dated 02.02.1983 and E(NG)I/83/PM1/53, dated 11.05.1983 for promotion to ‘Non-selection’ posts through suitability trade test, vacancies are to be calculated on the basis of existing plus those anticipated to occur during next four months.
2. The question of changing the basis for calculation of anticipated vacancies for ‘non-selection’ posts has been considered by the Board. It has been decided that besides the existing vacancies, vacancies anticipated to occur during the next six months instead of four months at present may be taken into account for promotion to ‘non-selection’ posts. Orders regarding Trade Test will follow.
