Kindly refer to the discussion held on the item regarding compassionate appointments during the CPO’s conference held in May, 98. It is again reiterated that suitability of candidates for appointment on compassionate grounds of Group ‘C’ posts should be completed on a single day i.e. written test and viva-voce should be held on the same day so that the candidates, who are wards/ widow of deceased Railway employees are not put to inconvenience.
