School Teachers: RBE No.214/2000 – Teaching Allowance, Special Allowance

Ref:  Board’s letters Nos. (1) E(W) 83SC2-18, dated 28.11.1988 (RBE No.263/1988); (2) PC-V/98/I/11/26, dated 23.10.1998 (RBE No.245/1998).       

1. On the recommendations of the V CPC the Teaching Allowance admissible to the Railway School Teachers has been abolished w.e.f. 01.01.1996 in terms of Board’s letter No.PC-V/98/I/11/26, dated 23.10.1998 (RBE No.245/1998).

2. In view of this it has further been decided by the Board to abolish w.e.f. 01.01.1996 the Special Allowance admissible to the PGTs for looking after the duties of Vice Principals in terms of Board’s letter No.E(W)83 SC2-18, dated 28.11.1988 (RBE No.263/1988). It has also been decided that the payments of Special Allowance made w.e.f. 01.01.1996 should be recovered with immediate effect.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
