No.PC-VII/2016/RSRP/3, dated 26.09.2016

Sub: Clarification regarding bunching of stages in the revised pay structure under RS(RP) Rules, 2016.

1. The recommendations of 7th CPC w.r.t. bunching of stages has been examined by Ministry of Finance and it has been decided that in cases where in revision of pay, the pay of Government servants drawing pay at two or more stages in pre-revised Pay Bands and Grade Pay or scale, as the case may be, get fixed at same Cell in the applicable Level in the new Pay Matrix, one additional increment shall be given for every two stages bunched and the pay of Government servant drawing higher pay in pre-revised structures shall be fixed in the next vertical Cell in the applicable Level.

    Respectee Sir/Madam,
I have the honour to state that I am an ex-serviceman and joined Indian Railway as Gp. D (General Assistant) presently posted at Dhanbad, Division and working under Sr. DEE (OP)/Dhanbad.

I have submitted a request letter for benefit of Bunching of pay fixation, but it was convinced me that I am not eligible of this benefit of bunching of pay fixation as my appointment date is 07/07/2011 and they used to pay one extra increament those who have been joined in the year 2013.

It is my humble request your honour to kindly let me know whether I am authorised for such benefit or not.

Thanking for your kind consideration for giving such information.
    yours sincerely,
    Parash Nath Prasad
