RBE No. 105/2019: Promotion – To Non-gazetted Posts – Introduction of 100% Objective Type Paper

Sub: Introduction of 100% objective type paper for promotional examinations – Action plan for 100 days.
Attention is invited to Board’s letter of even number dated 14.12.2018 (RBE No. 196/2018) vide which instructions were issued for introduction of 100% objective type multiple choice paper for promotional examinations. This was followed by detailed clarification on the subject issued vide letter of even number dated 14.06.2019 (RBE No. 97/2019).
Full implementation of 100% objective type written examination for selection for non-gazetted categories has been included in the Personal Departments’ Action Plan for 100 days. Railways may therefore, ensure that departmental selection examinations in non-gazetted categories, are fully done through 100% objective type tests by August, 2019.
Progress in this regard may be furnished to the Board every fortnight in the following format, starting with the position as on 30th June, 2019;
(a) No. of selections due.
(b) No. of written examination selections conducted.
(c) No. of written examinations {out of (b) above} conducted through 100% objective mode.
(d) Remarks, if any.
It may be insured that no written examination for selection beyond 31.08.2019 is planned for other than 100% objective type mode.
