The matter has been considered and it is clarified that for compassionate appointment to these posts the minimum of 50% marks in matriculation need not be insisted upon and candidates possessing a pass in matriculation may also be appointed on compassionate grounds provided the other prescribed conditions are satisfied in their case.
3. In regard to appointments on compassionate grounds to the categories of ASMs, Guards, Senior Clerks, Enquiry and Reservation Clerks etc., however, the minimum qualification of University Degree should be insisted upon.
