Sub: Modification in Age Groups of Junior & Youth National Championships in Table Tennis for recruitment and other purposes.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter No.2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1(Policy), dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No.189(B)/2010) and clarifications/corrigendum issued thereto from time to time.
1. Please connect Railway Board’s letter dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No.189(B)/2010) mentioned under reference, wherein list of the age groups of Junior/ Sub-Junior National Championships of various game disciplines, recognized by Railway Sports Promotion Board for recruitment of sportspersons on Indian Railways against Sports Quota, is given in the Annexure-I. The age groups of Junior and Youth National Table Tennis Championships, as mentioned in Annexure-I, are as under:

2. Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has informed that age groups of Junior and Youth National Championships in Table Tennis have been revised. Now, the age categories for Junior National Championship and Youth National Championship are Under-17 & Under-19 respectively.
3. In view of above, it has been decided to revise the age group of Junior and Youth National Championships in Table Tennis discipline as under:

4. Accordingly, the certificates issued by the concerned National Sports Federation for the championships as per para 3 above, will henceforth be valid for recruitment and other establishment purposes in Indian Railways.
5. This is issued with the approval of DG(HR) and President/RSPB.
