Sub: Recruitment of sportspersons against sports quota through Talent Scouting and Open Advertising – Clarification regarding.
Ref: Board’s letters nos. (i) 2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1 (Policy), dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No.189(B)/2010), No.2012/E(Sports)4(1)/1/Policy Clarification, dated 18.04.2012 (RBE No.52/2012), No.2014/E(Sports)/4(1)/1/Policy Clarification, dated 17.01.2014 (RBE No.10/2014), and No.2013/E(Sports)/4(1)/2/Policy, dated 04.01.2016 (RBE No.08/2016).
Railway Board vide letter No.2013/E(Sports)/4(1)/2/Policy, dated 04.01.2016 (RBE No.08/2016) has restored the previous provisions of policy to treat all team members at par in team games for the purpose of recruitment against sports quota and for granting incentives/ OTPs and delete following Para of the policy”-

After deletion of above para in Board’s letter dated 18.04.2012 (RBE No.52/2012) there is no validity of Board’s letter dated 17.01.2014 (RBE No.10/2014). As such Board’s letter No.2014/E(Sports)/4(1)/1/Policy Clarification, dated 17.01.2014 (RBE No.10/2014) may also be treated as cancelled.
