Sub:     Monitoring of cases pending for Out-of-Turn-Promotion (OTP) to Sportspersons.

Ref: This office’s letter No.2012/E(Sports)/4(1)/3/OTP/DOPT, dated 23.05.2013 (RBE No.50/2013) Clarification Corrigendum No.35.

Attention is invited to instructions issued from time to time for grant of timely out-of-turn-promotion (OTP) to eligible sportspersons and coaches for outstanding sports achievements. It has however been observed that in some cases there is considerable delay in grant of OTP in some of the Zonal Railways. 

In order to further streamline the system it is desired that a monitoring mechanism may be devised to ensure that timely grant of OTPs to the deserving sportspersons. Such mechanism may be personally monitored by the president of Zonal Railway Sports Associations. 

Action taken in this regard may be intimated to this office.
