Sub:   Payment of special pay to staff in HQ Organization connected with the work of PCO – reg.

Reference correspondence resting with your letter No.752E/289-EIII-A 82, dated 28.05.1986.

The Board desire to clarify that your action in paying special pays to the Headquarter’s office staff connected with the work of the Production Control Organization is not in order as it is not in conformity with Board’s extant instructions on the subject and is also contrary to clarifications issued with reference to queries raised by certain Railways.

The Board have accordingly decided that special pay should be discontinued for the headquarter office staff w.e.f. 01.03.1987 and the payments made so far regularized under your own powers with the concurrence of the Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer.
