Special casual Leave: RBE No.157/2016 – To Delegates Attending AGM of Credit Societies/ Banks

Sub: Special Casual Leave (SCL) to delegates for attending Annual General Meeting of Cooperative Credit Societies/ Banks.

1. The matter regarding grant of Special Casual Leave to the delegates for attending Annual General Meeting of Cooperative Credit Societies/ Banks has been reviewed in consultation with the DOP&T in the light of the position obtaining on the Civil Side and also keeping in view the fact that the Railway employees Cooperative Credit Societies/ Banks are now registered under the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 and is under the overall supervision of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Krishi Bhavan.

2.     Therefore, in supersession of Board’s letter No.E(G)70/LE 1-2, dated 03.09.1971, it has been decided to allow SCL upto a maximum of 10 days in a calendar year plus the minimum period required for the journeys to attend such meetings.

3.     The number of Railway employees attending such meetings may be regulated in such a manner as not to affect the administrative efficiency. The discretion as to the number of delegates allowed for attending such meetings may be exercised by the CPO, keeping in view the administrative exigencies.

4.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate.
