Selections: Introduction of 100% Objective type Multiple Choice Questions

Sub: Introduction of 100% Objective type Multiple Choice Questions in the written examinations held as part of Selections and Pre-qualifying Examination (PE) in LDCEs for promotion from Group ‘C’ to Group ‘B’ posts.

1. Please refer to paras 4(i) & (v) of Board’s letter no.E(GP)2018/2/31, dated 19.03.2019 (RBE No.53/2019). Herein, it is clarified that the reference in the said paras is towards objective type multiple choice questions included in the Selections and Pre-qualifying examinations for LDCEs held for promotion to Group ‘B’ posts.

2. Similarly, in respect of the said letter incorporated as Para 10.2.2. (C)(i) to 10.2.2. (C)(iV) in the Master Circular No.68, updated in July, 2019 it is clarified that these instructions govern objective type multiple choice questions in the Selections and Pre-qualifying examinations held for LDCEs for promotion to Group ‘B’ posts.
