Sub: Educational facilities for wards of Sahayaks (Licensed Porters).

In partial modification of Board’s letter No.E(W)95SC-2/28, dated 13.07.1995 (copy enclosed) regarding free educational facilities to the wards of Sahayaks (erstwhile Licenced Porters), Ministry of Railways have now decided that wards of Sahayaks may be permitted free educational facilities in the schools run by Railways/ Railwaymen’s Organizations/ Mahila Samities at any station in the Division where they are working.
