RBE No. 97/2008: Recruitment – Disposal of Old Records

Sub: Disposal of old record pertaining to recruitment of Group ‘D’ staff on the railways.

1.     Attention is invited to instructions contained in Para 7.3 of Board’s letter No.E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62, dated 18.07.2005 (RBE No. 121/2005) which inter alia stipulate that duplicate OMR sheets will be kept in custody of GM/AGM.

2.     The issue of disposal of old records pertaining to recruitment of Group ‘D’ staff has been examined and it has now been decided that duplicate OMR sheet pertaining to Group ‘D’ recruitment may be considered for disposal after 1 (one) year from the date of declaration of panel by Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) with prior vigilance clearance.

3.     Rest of the records pertaining to recruitment of Group ‘D’ staff on the railways may, however, be considered for disposal in terms of instructions contained in Board’s letter No.E(NG)-II/85/RSC/57, dated 28.05.1985, 98/E(RRB)/302, dated 14.10.1998 and E(RRB)/2005/7/1, dated 17.05.2005.
