RBE No. 93/2008: Railway accommodation – Rent

Sub: Rates of recovery of rent for Railway accommodation allotted to Railway employees owning houses at the station of posting.
1. In partial modification of this Ministry’s letter No.E(G)77 QR1-53, dated 11.07.1984 on the above cited subject, Board have decided to revise the slabs of rental income and the rental liability in respect of the Railway employees owning houses at or near the station of their posting, as given below:-

If income from house does not exceed Rs.12000 p.m. |
Normal licence fee. |

(ii) |
If income from house exceeds Rs.12000 p.m. but does not exceed Rs.20000 p.m. |
Twice the normal licence fee. |
|
(iii) |
If income exceeds Rs.20000 p.m. |
Thrice the normal licence fee. |
2. These orders will come into effect from 01.07.2008.
3. All other existing terms and conditions will remain the same.
4. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
