RBE No. 90/2006: Railway Accommodation – Retention

Sub: Retention of railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of Railway Officers/ staff on deputation to IRCON exclusively for Laole-Quazigund Section of the Railway line (Udhampur to Baramulla) and actually serving in that area with headquarters at the project site.
IRCON International Ltd. who have been entrusted with the construction of Laole-Quazigund portion of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project, have requested the Railway Board for grant of permission to retain Railway accommodation at the famous place of posting in favour of Railway Officers/ staff who are on deputation to IRCON and are posted at the project-site Laole-Quazigund Section, at par with other staff on deputation to IRCON for the Quazigund-Baramulla project.
Railway Board in their meeting held on 10.05.2006 have considered the request of IRCON and decided to permit retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of Railway employees who are on deputation to IRCON exclusively for Laole-Quazigund portion of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project (Katra-Laole portion) and actually serving in the area of Project site with Headquarters there during the period they are posted at the Project site or the completion of the Project, whichever is earlier, at par with the permission granted to deputationist Railway Officers/ staff posted to the Quazigund-Baramulla Project site in terms of letter No.E(G)2002 RN5-3, dated 03.07.2002 (RBE No. 96/2002).
This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
