Sub: Recruitment of Athletes in Railways against Sports Quota – Clarification regarding exemption from trials for recruitment through Talent Scouting.
Ref: Railway Board’s policy letter No.2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1(Policy), dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No. 189(B)/2010) and clarification/ corrigendum issued thereto.

1. Please connect para 8.1.1 of Board’s policy letter – referred to above regarding exemption from trials for recruitment of sportspersons against sports quota through Talent Scouting.
2. In this connection, it is clarified that since both senior National Open Athletics Championship and National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championship are at par for the purpose of recruitment in terms of para 4.1(iii) and Note (a) below para 4.1 of Board’s policy letter dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No. 189(B)/2010), referred to above, accordingly Para 8.1.1 of the said letter shall be equally applicable for the purpose of grant exemption from trials for recruitment of athletes against sports quota through talent scouting.
