RBE No.76/2018: Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF)

Sub: Status of Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF).
Ref: Board’s letter No.2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1 (Policy), dated 31.12.2010 (RBE No.189B/2010) and clarifications/ corrigendum issued thereto.

At present there are two factions of Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF), none of which is recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
In view of above, it has been decided that the sports achievements in the event conducted by Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF) or its affiliated unit after 03.10.2017, shall not be considered for recruitment, incentives and all other establishment matters, till further orders. However, the certificates issued by the Association of Indian Universities and International Federations for recognized sports achievement in the game of Powerlifting will be permissible for the said purpose.
