RBE No. 70/2007: Assistant Nursing Officer – Promotion

Sub: Selection for promotion to Group ‘B’ posts of Assistant Nursing Officer in the scale Rs.7500-12000.
1. In terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 21.06.2005 (RBE No.99/2005), instructions were issued to Railways/PUs for filling up Group ‘B’ posts of Assistant Nursing Officer in the scale Rs.7500-12000 on ad-hoc basis pending finalization of Recruitment Rules for these posts.
2. It has now been decided by the Board that the posts of Assistant Nursing Officer in the pay scale of Rs.7500-12000 may be filled up through the normal process of selection comprising written test and viva-voce (including assessment of record of service) from amongst Chief Matrons in the Scale of Rs.7450-11500 with 2 years’ service in the grade, failing which, Chief Matrons with 3 years combined service in the sale of Rs.7450-11500 and Rs.6500-10500.
3. The above instructions will be effective from the date of issue of this letter. However, selections which have already been finalized need not be disturbed.
