RBE No. 55/2019: Quarters – Allotment/ Retention – On Absorption in RLDA

Sub: Allotment/ Retention of Railway accommodation by Vice Chairman/ Members on absorption in Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA).

1. The issue of allotment/ retention of Railway accommodation by Railway Officers joining as Vice Chairman/ Members on absorption basis in RLDA has been considered by Railway Board.
2. Board has decided that Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) should build accommodation for their absorbed officers on the lines of the scheme available with Railway PSUs. Further, in exercise of powers vested with the full Board to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/ group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/ retention, the full board has decided that retention of houses may be allowed for Railway Officers joining RLDA as Vice Chairman/ Members on permanent absorption for one year on the condition that RLDA shall commence construction of houses as per their requirement during this period.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
