RBE No. 38/2006: Cash Imprest – To Principals

Sub: Cash imprest to the principals of training centre.

The Committee of the Running Staff has inter-alia recommended for grant of cash imprest to the Principals of Training Centres.

The matter has been considered in consultation with the associate finance and it has been decided that:-

(a)   The Principals of training centers who are in SAG/SG/JAG may be granted a cash imprest of Rs.5000 recoupable every month and the principals of other training centers, who are in Sr. Scale/ Jr. Scale, Rs.2500 per month for providing back-up reading materials to the trainees  on need based;  and

(b)   The above cash imprest be provided in terms of para 1052 of Indian Railway Financial Code 1982 1^st Edition wherein the GMs have full powers to sanction imprests and can further delegate his powers to authorities subordinate to him.

This issues with the approval of the associate finance of the Ministry of Railways.

Accordingly, Railways may kindly take further action at their end.
