RBE No. 29/2014: Training – Foreign – Eligibility Criteria

Sub: Review of Eligibility Criteria for selection of Indian Railways Personnel for Foreign Training – Corrigendum-2.

Further to Board’s letter of even No. dated 09.09.2010 and corrigendum dated 25.10.2013 (RBE No.110/2013) regarding Eligibility criteria for selection of Indian Railways personnel for foreign training (outside the Structured Training Plan), following modification may be made:
1. Mandatory Criteria:-
Item (c) APAR grading may be modified to read as under:-
(c) APAR Grading: for Gazetted Officers the nominees must have APAR benchmark of “Very good” during the preceding five (5) years.
For Non-Gazetted Officials, APAR grading would not be a criterion for nomination. D&AR clearance would not be compulsory, however Vigilance clearance is mandatory.
2. All other norms and conditions specified in Board’s letter of even no. dated 09.09.2010 and 25.10.2013 (RBE No.110/2013) would remain the same.
