RBE No. 263/1999: Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules

Sub: Notification – Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968.
GSR ……….. In exercise of the powers conferred with the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 1999.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in Schedule-I and Schedule-II for the entry mentioned in column (2) of the Table below, wherever it occurs, the entry mentioned against it in column (3) of the said Table shall be substituted:-

3. Schedule-I to the said rules, for the entry all ‘non-gazetted staff drawing Rs.1800 (RS 86) and below’, wherever it occurs, the entry ‘all non-gazetted staff drawing Rs.5500 (RSP 97) and below’ shall be substituted.
4. In Schedule-II to the said rules:-
(a) In the heading of column 6, for the entry ‘in scale Rs.5900-6700/ 7300-7600 (RS 86), the entry ‘in scale Rs.18400-22400/ 22400-24500 (RSRP 97)’ shall be substituted;
(b) Under the heading ‘9. Suspension in column 2, for the entry “Group ‘D’ and Group ‘C’ staff drawing Rs.1800 (RS 86) and below the entry “Group ‘D’ and Group ‘C’ staff drawing Rs.5500 (RSRP 97), and below” shall be substituted.
