RBE No. 23/2005: Quarters – Retention of

Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of Railway Officers on deputation of Rail Tel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL).

In terms of the policy contained in Railway Board’s letter No.E(G)2000 QR1-23, dated 01.06.2001 (RBE No. 100/2001), Railway officers/ staff on deputation to Rail Tel Corporation of India Ltd. (RCIL) were permitted to retain Railway accommodation at their previous place of posting for a period of 5 years from the date of incorporation of RCIL, i.e., from 26.09.2002 to 25.09.2005 vide Board’s letter of even number dated 31.05.2002 (RBE No. 77/2002) subject to the payment of rent as specified in the said letter.

RICL have requested the Railway Board for grant of further permission to retain Railway accommodation in favour of deputationist officers/ staff to RCIL. Keeping in view the position brought out by the Corporation, Board have decided to extend the period of retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of Railway employees posted on deputation to RCIL by a further period of one year from 26.09.2005 to 25.09.2006 on the terms and conditions laid down in the letter dated 31.05.2002 (RBE No. 77/2002).

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
