RBE No.100/2008: GDCE – Extension of scheme

Sub: General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) for filling up of 25% net direct recruitment quota vacancies in Gr. ‘C’ categories – Extension of currency upto 31.03.2011.

As the Railways are aware, the currency of a scheme of General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) has been extended from time to time and the currency of the scheme was last extended upto 31.03.2008 vide this Ministry’s letter No.E(NG)I-2005/PM2/1, dated 06.05.2005 (RBE No.76/2005). After considering the view of Zonal Railways/ Production Units regarding its further continuance, it has been decided to extend the currency of the scheme upto 31.03.2011 on existing terms and conditions.
