Sub: The Railway Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2003.

NOTIFICATION

S.O.1488(E):- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Services (Pension) Rules, 1993, namely:-

1.     (1) These rules may be called the Railway Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2003.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1^st day of January, 2004.

2.     In the Railway Services (Pension) Rules, 1993, in rule 2, the following proviso shall be inserted at the end, namely:-

“Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall apply to railway servants appointed on or after the 1^st day of January, 2004.”
