Loco Foreman: RBE No.330/1985 – Revision of Scale of ALF to Rs.550-750

Sub: Revision of the grade of Asstt. Loco Foreman from Rs.425-700 to Rs.550-750 (RS).

1. Reference your Railway’s letter No.E/41/178/Misc.(M), dated 17.09.1984 and 03.07.1985 on the above subject. The Department of Railways have considered the matter and decided that out of existing 47 posts of ALF in scale Rs.425-700, 41 posts be upgraded from Rs.425-700 to 550-750 (RS) by surrendering the balance 6 posts.

2. With the up-gradation of the scale of ALF to Rs.550-750 it should not be possible for the Railway Administration to fill these posts in future by Driver ‘C’ in scale Rs.330-560 and Chargeman ‘B’ in scale Rs.425-700. The Railway may revise the existing AVC accordingly in consultation with their recognized unions.

3. The upgraded posts will be counted for percentage structure in the subsequent annual reviews.

4. These orders will take effect from the date of issue.
