House Rent Allowance: RBE No.43/1988 – Classification of Bela Pratapgarh for HRA

Sub:   Classification of cities/ towns for the purpose of Compensatory (City) Allowance and the House Rent Allowance to Railway Employees on the basis of 1981 Census figures – Case of Bela Pratapgarh in U.P. for classification as a ‘C’ Class City for HRA purpose.

1. Reference Board’s letter No.E(P&A)II/83/HRA-4, dated 11.03.1983 on the subject mentioned above. The question of classification of Bela Pratapgarh in U.P. as ‘C’ Class City for the purpose of HRA, has been under consideration of the Government for some time past. The President is pleased to decide, as a special case, that Bela Pratapgarh in U.P. may be included in the list of ‘C’ Class Cities in Annexure II to the Ministry of Railways letter dated 11.03.1983, for the purpose of grant of House Rent Allowance to  Railway  employees working in Bela Pratapgarh.

2. These orders shall take effect from 02.02.1988.
