GDCE – Jurisdictions of RRBs redefined

Sub: Scheme of General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) – Conduct of examinations through Railway Recruitment Boards.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter of even number dated 11.01.2002 (RBE No.05/2002).

1. Consequent upon re-organization of Zonal Railway(s) / Division(s) and creation of 07 new Zonal Railways and 08 Divisions, Board have nominated the following RRBs to cater for the Zonal Railways and Production Units located in the geographical area of the Railway for their requirement for GDCE w.e.f. 01.04.2003:

(i) RRB/Ahmedabad – Western Railway
(ii) RRB/Mumbai – Central Railway
(iii) RRB/Chandigarh – Northern Railway, DCW & RCF
(iv) RRB/Guwahati – N.F. Railway
(v) RRB/Kolkata – Eastern Railway, Metro Railway, CLW
(vi) RRB/Ranchi – South Eastern Railway
(vii) RRB/Gorakhpur – North Eastern & RDSO
(viii) RRB/Chennai – Southern Railway & ICF
(ix) RRB/Secunderabad – South Central Railway
(xi) RRB/Allahabad – Northern Central Railway, DLW
(xii) RRB/Bangalore – South Western Railway & RWF
(xiii) RRB/Bhopal – West Central & South East-Central Railway
(xiv) RRB/Bhuvneshwar – East Cost Railway
(xv) RRB/Patna – East Central Railway

2. Indents placed before 01.04.2003 will continue to be dealt with by RRBs nominated vide Board’s letter dated 11.01.2002 (RBE No.05/2002) quoted above,
