Compassionate Ground Appointment – Screening/ Suitability – To be Held on 10th of Every Month

Sub: Screening/ Suitability test for Compassionate Ground Appointment to Group ‘C’ posts.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)II/2018/RC-1/45, dated 20.12.2018.
1. Vide Board’s letter referred to above, it was suggested to all Railway/ PUs that they could consider holding suitability test/ examination for Compassionate Ground Appointment (CGA) candidates on a fixed date every month, say, the 10th of the month.
2. In order to ensure uniformity on this aspect and for the benefit of all CGA candidates, it is now reiterated that the suitability test/ examination(s) for CGA candidates be conducted on the 10th of every month as a standing practice. This may be given due notice/ circulation for the benefit of eligible candidates.
3. Where the 10th of the month is a holiday, the screening/ examination shall be conducted on the next working day. The above may be implemented, where not already done, from the month of April, 2019.
