Chief Loco Inspector: RBE No.02/2025 – Periodicity of Refresher Course

Sub: Periodicity of Refresher Course of Chief Loco Inspector (CLls).

Ref:  Western Railway’s letter no.EL 91/29/2, dated 12.11.2024.

1. Revised training module for Initial/Refresher course for CLIs were issued under Railway Board’s reference 2024/E(Trg)/41/15, dated 06.11.2024 (RBE No.103/2024). Now clarifications have been sought regarding the periodicity of the Refresher Course for Chief Loco Inspectors (CLIs). Though the periodicity of refresher course for CLI (Diesel) has been indicated as once in three years in the training modules issued earlier under Board’s reference E(MPP)2009/3/26, dt. 13.07.2009 (RBE No.127/2009), the same has not been indicated in the revised training modules.

2. The issue has now been re-examined at the Board’s office in consultation with the concerned technical directorates. The periodicity of Refresher Courses for CLIs shall be once in three years.

3. This disposes of Western Railway letter dtd 12.11.2024.
