CLARIFICATION

Sub:  Assured Career Progression Scheme for Railway servants – case of Railway school teachers.

Ref: Board’s letter No.PC-V/99/1/1/1, dated 01.10.1999 (RBE No.233/1999).

1.     Railways have been seeking clarification regarding applicability of Assured Career Progression Scheme introduced for Group ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ Railway servants on the recommendations of V CPC in respect of Railway School teachers too. The matter has accordingly been examined in consultation with the DOP&T, who have clarified that the Assured Career Progression Scheme introduced for Group ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ Railway servants will not apply to the Railway school teachers as they are already governed by a separate scheme as envisaged in Board’s letter No.E(P&A)I-87/PS-5/PE-5, dated 11.01.1988.

2.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
