Reserved Tickets – Booking Through UPI/ BHIM App – Discount

Sub: Provision of 5% discount on the total value of basic fare of PRS (reserved) counter tickets on booking of reserved counter through UPI (Unified Payment Interface) including BHIM application.
Ref: Commercial Circular No. 16/2018 dated 09.03.2018.

1. In partial modification in the above mentioned Commercial Circular, Ministry of Railways desire that provision of 5% discount on the total value of basic fare of PRS (reserved) counter ticket on payment through UPI (BHIM application) shall be implemented with effect from 02.04.2018 on an experimental basis for three months instead of 20.03.2018.
2. CRIS shall ensure necessary changes in the soft ware and arrangements for the above.
3. Ensure action accordingly and confirm. Wide publicity through different media may also be given.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
