RBE No.177/2005: GDCE – Staff in lower grades will only be eligible

Sub: Introduction of General Departmental Competitive Examination for filling 25% DR quota vacancies in certain Group ‘C’ categories – Debarring the employees working in same grade to appear in the examination.

1. In partial modification of para 3 of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 05.08.2004 (RBE No.173/2004) as a result of further review of the matter it has been decided that only the employees working in the grades lower than the grades for which GDCE is held should be allowed to appear in the GDCE.
2. The revised eligibility condition will come into effect from the date of issue of these instructions.
