Recruitment: RBE No.147/2000 – Upper Age Limit for Gp. C & D Categories

Sub: Upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ categories on the Railways.

1.     Attention is invited to Board’s letter of even number dated 10.05.1999 (RBE No.99/1999) raising the upper age limit by 2 years on a regular basis w.e.f. 01.06.1999 for direct recruitment to all Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ categories, including engagement of Substitutes on the Railways for a period up to 03.08.2000. Relaxation of upper age limit of 3 years was also allowed upto 03.08.2000.

2.     The matter has been reviewed by the Board and it has been decided that the currency of the relaxation contained in Board’s letter of even number dated 10.05.1999 (RBE No.99/1999) may be extended further for a period of 3 years i.e. up to 03.08.2003.
