Selection: RBE No.10/2025 – Promotion from Group ‘C’ to Group ‘B’ Posts

Sub: Promotions from Group ‘C’ to Group ‘B’ posts through 70% Selection – Centralized CBT.
Ref: Board’s letter of even number dated 08.10.2024 (RBE No.93/2024).
1. In terms of Board’s letter under reference, it was decided that for 70% Selections to Group ‘B’ posts in all Departments having Organized Services, all employees who are eligible and who volunteer for the Selection, should be considered without any limitation of number, as in the case of APO.
2. In continuation to the said instructions, it has been decided by Board that in the case of Group ‘B’ posts other than APO, the candidates for Viva Voce and assessment of Record of Service shall be called to the extent of 06 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) in the order of seniority. In case of APO, the existing procedure of calling candidates to the extent of 06 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) for Viva Voce and assessment of Record of Service in the order of merit shall continue.
3. Further, it has been decided to do away with the grading of candidates as ‘Good’/ ‘Outstanding’ and subsequent supersession (as contained in paras 204.8 and 204.9 of IREM Vol.I, Revised Edition 1989) in 70% Selections across all Organized Departments. The panels will be formed in the order of seniority.

I want to ask that whether there will be CBT or not, like without CBT direct interview call as per seniority and willingness? Please explain
