Sub: Revised Combined Training Modules of Chief Loco Inspectors (Diesel & Electric).
1. Vide Board’s letter No.E(MPP) 2009/03/26, dt. 13.07.2009 (RBE No.127/2009), training modules for Loco Inspectors (Diesel & Electric) were circulated to all Zonal Railways/ PUs etc. and uploaded on ‘Indian Railways’ website under heading MPP Training Circulars.
2. In order to have a better structured training, the existing training modules of Loco Inspectors (Diesel & Electric) have been reviewed, and a revised combined training module for Induction & Refresher Training of Chief Loco Inspectors (CLIs) (Diesel & Electric) have been prepared by Electrical/ TRS Directorate, and approved by Board (Member/TRS).
3. Accordingly, the revised combined training module for Induction & Refresher Training of Chief Loco Inspectors (Diesel & Electric) has been scanned and uploaded under MPP Training Circulars on ‘Indian Railways’ website and can be viewed or downloaded from railnet.

Chief Loco Inspectors (CLIs) (Diesel & Electric)
To devise a system of structured training of Chief Loco Inspectors (CLIs), following points are recommended:
Training of CLIs (induction and refresher) is already mandatory for both Diesel & Electric categories. Zonal Railways should enforce discipline.
Common training modules as detailed at Annexure-1 & 2 be legislated as mandatory at specified periodicity for both Diesel and Electric CLIs.
Initial/ induction training of CLIs for 03 weeks to be undertaken at Supervisors Training Institute at IRIEEN.
Refresher courses of CLIs for one week to be organized by respective Zonal Railways at ETCS/ DTCS along with running staff refresher courses.
As a one-time measure, IRIEEN is hereby advised to squeeze the contents of the common module in a one-week capsule and cover all the present strength of CLIs within next one year.
