Sub: Filling up of vacancies of Train Examiners in grade Rs.425-700 (RS) against promotion quota of 40% from serving artisans.
1. Reference Board’s letter No.E(NG)I-73-PM 1-276, dated 29.12.1976.
2. The Board’s letter dated 29.12.1976 quoted above lays down the method of filling up the vacancies in the grade of Train Examiners in scale Rs.425-700 against 40% promotion quota. In terms of instructions contained in this letter, if the selection from amongst HSK grades I & II and Mistries fails to provide the requisite number to be empanelled, a supplementary selection is held in which candidates beyond three times the number called earlier are called. If this also fails to provide the requisite number to be empanelled, another supplementary selection is held in which following staff are called:
(a) skilled staff with 5 years, service in that grade and having the qualification of 8th standard, or
(b) skilled staff with 3 years, service and having the qualification of Matriculation.
3. In partial modification of these instructions, it has been decided that the service condition of 5 years referred to in (b) above and 3 years referred to in (b) above will be in the skilled grade or above; the educational qualification of 8th standard and 10th standard respectively applying to staff in skilled grade.
