Sub: Stipend for the post of Apprentices/ Trainees.                                                       

Reference is invited to the rate of stipend fixed for Trainee Nurses in this Ministry’s letter No.PC-III/82/DA/1 Pt.II, dated 14.11.1984. The question of enhancing the stipend for Trainee Nurses has been under consideration of this Ministry. It has now been decided that the existing stipend of Trainee Nurses undergoing Training in Railway Training Institutions in Eastern Railway and North-East Frontier Railway should be enhanced to Rs.500 (Rupees five hundred) per month effective from 01.12.1987.
