Sub: Clarification whether iPad comes under the definition of personal Computer for the purpose of grant of Computer Advance – reg.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that requests have been received in this Department seeking clarification on the subject cited above.
2. The requests have been considered in this Department and it has been decided that an official can also purchase an iPad by availing Computer Advance subject to other conditions as mentioned in our OM No.12(1)/E.II(A)/2016, dated 07.10.2016.
3. This issues with approval of Competent Authority.
