RBE No. 87/2009: Ration Money Allowance

Sub: Grant of Ration Money Allowance and ad-hoc bonus to Head Constables/ RPF working as Vigilance Watchers in Vigilance Organization.

1.     Southern Railway has sought clarification as to whether Ration Money Allowance can be paid to the RPF/RPSF staff working as Vigilance Watcher in Vigilance Organization as is being granted to RPF/RPSF staff working as Investigating Inspector in Vigilance Organization in terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 04.06.2008 (RBE No. 70/2008).

2.     The matter has been considered by the Board and it has been decided that RPF/RPSF staff working as Vigilance Watcher in Vigilance Organization may be granted ad-hoc bonus and Ration Money Allowance in lieu of PLB from the financial year 2008-09.

3.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

4.     This disposes of Southern Railway’s letter No.P(GS)483/XII/Audit & Accts., dated 15.04.2009.

5.     Please acknowledge receipt.
