RBE No. 87/2006: Uniform – To Gangmen etc.

Sub: Issue of uniform and other accessories to Gangmen (Trackmen), Keymen, Mates and Patrolmen.

In terms of Uniform Circular No.3 of 2005 issued vide Board’s letter of even number dated 27.12.2005 (RBE No. 219/2005) revised yardstick has been issued for the uniform and other accessories to Gangmen (Trackmen), Keymen, Mates and Patrolmen. It has come to the notice of Board that while issuing these instructions, two categories i.e. Gatemen and Trolleymen have inadvertently been left out even though the recommendation of the Uniform Committee as conveyed vide Board’s letter dt. 27.12.2005 (RBE No. 219/2005) is also applicable to them. It has, therefore, been decided that the instructions issued vide Board’s letter of even number dated 27.12.2005 (RBE No. 219/2005) will also be applicable to Gatemen and Trolleymen.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
