RBE No. 178/2008: Productivity Linked Bonus – PLB 2003-04

Sub: Payment of Productivity Linked Bonus to non-gazetted Group ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ Railway employees for the financial year 2003-04.

1.     Please refer to the instructions contained in this office letters No.E(P&A)II-2004/PLB-5, dated 04.10.2004 (RBE No. 215/2004) and 13.10.2004 (RBE No. 2004) on the above subject.

2.     Pursuant to the judgment delivered by CAT/Ernakulam Bench on 17.04.2007 in OA No.879/2004, upheld by the High Court/Ernakulam vide their order dated 25.10.2007 in WP(C) No.29597/2007 and also by the Hon’ble Supreme Court vide their order dated 18.07.2008 in SLP(C) No.9199/2008, it has been decided that this office corrigendum No.E(P&A)II-2004/PLB-5, dated 13.10.2004 be treated as withdrawn. Action may accordingly be taken to make the residual payment to the eligible employees, duly combining the same with their salary payments.

3.     This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
