Sub: Night Patrolling Allowance – Recommendation of VIth CPC – Revision of rates.

1.     In pursuance of the decision taken by the Government on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission relating to revision of allowances specific to Ministries, the President is pleased to revise the rate of Night Patrolling Allowance from Rs.3 to Rs.6 per night.

2.     Night Patrolling Allowance will be admissible to the permanent Gangman and Casual Labour with temporary status.

3.     The rate of this allowance will be increased by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance payable on the revised pay structure goes up by 50%.

4.     These orders will be effective from September 01, 2008.
