Sub: Safety measures for Railway men working in hazardous conditions.

During the 35th PREM held in Board’s office, the Federations have expressed concern on loss of lives of Railway men in rail accidents. As it is a serious matter, the Railways should take steps to ensure that employees update their knowledge and habits especially in safe practices particularly taking precautions while working/ passing through curves, tunnels, cutting, lifting of track, loading and unloading of heavy materials, electrified areas, etc., as also mentioned in Training Module No.CE002, CE004, Elec.2.2 ME003, ME004 to name a few.
